1. What is GDPR Compliance?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA).

GDPR comes into effect on 25 May 2018.

2. How does GDPR affect Companies/Businesses in Singapore?

If your Company/Business holds personal data of any EU residents, you need to comply with GDPR new law requirements.

Holding/Obtaining Personal Data means from the following:

- Obtains data from website (Contact us form, Newsletter Signup)
- Online Chat Sales Enquires
- Products and/or Services rendered (Billing/Invoicing details)
- Sign up at events or conventions
- Telephone or Email Survey

Companies and Businesses MUST obtain written consent to collect/store/use any individual EU resident's personal data.
The individual MUST be above the age of 16.

- The consent MUST be willingly given by the individual.
- No force or hard-sell tactics to be used.
- Written Consent Form or 'Update Contact' email alert.
- An option for Individual to unsubscribe at any point of time, easily. (website or email)
